K. K. Shailaja wins the 2020 MKR Foundation Karma Award

Karma Award jury chairman M T Vasuvedan Nair declared that K. K. Shailaja a.k.a Kerala’s own Shailaja teacher would be the sixth recipient of the award instituted by LHR Group’s MKR Foundation. The jury members agreed that she would be the ideal candidate, considering her efficient and timely efforts at the forefront during many major crises in recent times in Kerala, including the floods, the Nipah outbreak and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Her steadfast commitment in standing with the health workers in containing the spread of the virus added to quick and accurate political action has proved to be an example hailed by the media worldwide and will be remembered by the people for many years to come.
